Do you worry?

Do you spend a lot of time worrying?  Do you find yourself unsure of where things in your life are going?  Are you often distraught at the future unknown?  Most of us do, and while its normal, it’s not something we should be doing. Let’s see what Jesus has to say about it:

“Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6:30-34‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I’m not going to beat you over the head with this, but we do have to look at the facts. We are not to worry about tomorrow!

This is not to say we are to be oblivious to the future, but how things drift from our plans should be taken with a grain of salt. God knows what we need, not what we want necessarily, but what we need.

If this is the case, than why do things so often fall apart around us?  If this statement is true, and God knows and supplies what we need, why is there strife in our lives?  Two reasons, because of sin, and because of our response to that sin.

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God”, here is the key. If we are not seeking God first, it’s no wonder things seem to fall apart around us. It’s so important to organize our lives in such a way that serving God is what we do, and everything else is just an extension of that.

God will provide us all that we need when we are seeking His face first. Seek Him, and just watch as things fall into place. Not to say that all your desires will become reality, but that the will of God will be manifest in your life.

God Bless
