Sometimes in life, when things look bleak, life tries us, we wonder where God is. In our infirmities, in our trials, we become conformed to who God wants us to be. This only works though, if we acknowledge God in it. We can’t be accusational or angry at the will of God.
God knows what is best for us, far more than we ever could. His plan is greater than anything we could even begin to understand.
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:28-31 KJV)
God has a purpose in all that He does in our lives, whether we perceive it as good, bad, or indifferent is irrelevant! It’s all good from God. We cannot forget we were created by Him and for His pleasure. We are His to deal with as He sees fit. This ridiculous concept of self entitlement is one of the most detrimental states of mind we put ourselves in.
With this frame of mind, we can get the crazy notion of God being unfair with us. That He has offended us, or personally attack us. It doesn’t matter! When we accepted Christ as our Lord and Savior, we forfeit this life for eternity.
Here is the great news though: God then conforms us to Christ, justifies us in glory, covers us with grace. God calls us according to His plan. He is for us, and if that is the case, nothing can stand against us.
Trust in Him, and He is our greatest strength.
