As Christians, our lives should be devoted to service. In all things, emulating Christ and His personality. This is a huge task, but it is the very fabric of why Christ did what He did for us. He did not author salvation so we could continue to ignore each other.
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. (Galatians 6:9 KJV)
It’s a trying task maintaining the way of life God has directed us to lead. Often time we grow weary in service. I know sometimes I feel on the cusp of being burnt out. I’m bi-vocational, I have a day job as well as my ministries. Sometimes I feel there are not enough hours in the day and I would like to just skip a Sunday.
We as Christians cannot let that mentality slip in. The enemy loves to use these kinds of excuses to justify abandoning our duties towards one another.
We cannot faint in our well doing, in our service to Him that saved us. In due season, when then Lord calls us home after our service is complete, there is the reward we will reap.
